VAPOUR BLASTING

Unlike the dull and unattractive finish from sandblasting, the wet blasting technique that Finest Finishing uses will get a superior finish. Wet blasting is also known as Vapour Blasting, Wet Bead Blasting, Vapour Honing or Hydro blasting.

The use of water, super fine media and a high volume of air, is gentle enough to use on delicate parts with no heat damage and will not remove or damage castings marks or identifiers.

We charge $110 a hour +GST with a $50 minimum

If your parts are really dirty or oily when we receive them, there will be a charge for cleaning prior to them being wet/vapour blasted. We'll discuss this with you when we see photos or when you drop off your parts.

ULTRASONIC CLEANING: We can offer Ultrasonic cleaning for some parts to remove stuff that is hard to get to and to help remove any glass bead from vapour blasting on parts like throttle bodies or carbs. Prices are available on request.

The fine media used in the blasting process is what enables us to get an awesome finish on parts.

Whilst care is taken during blasting and openings/holes covered, as well as all blasted parts flushed & rinsed with water then dried with compressed air, it remains the customer’s responsibility to check that the returned parts are suitably clean and decontaminated prior to use and/or re-assembly.
